Since 1991 Fiskano plays an active roll in the Dutch fish industry. We started as processor and exporter with a range of products from the North Sea, but over the years we realised the increasing global aspects of our industry. Access to worldwide raw materials is, and will continue to be, the future key to a stable product flow. Therefore we have developed, without neglecting our traditional and everlasting roots of Dutch fish products, into a highly specialised importer, value-adder, and producer of 8.000-10.000 tons of fish and fish products annually.

Our location in Holland and more precisely in Urk, the centre of the West-European fish industry, enables us to balance and control all essential parameters and tools. Ports, fish auctions, cold stores, HACCP licensed factories, and European clients, are all within close reach of our main office.

Fiskano’s ongoing global search for contacts and raw materials, combined with our financial ability to reinvest in people and products, will ensure a stable service to our valued customers for the years to come…..

Fiskano is a modern, forward thinking company. We take our responsibilities very seriously and are committed to playing our part in adressing sustainable fisheries and other important environmental, workplace and social concerns, both locally and internationally. Therefore, we are proud to announce that we are MSC certified (SGS-NL-MSC-C-0337) and can offer several seafood items that come from a fishery which has been certified to the Marine Stewardship Council's environmental standard for a well-managed and sustainable fishery (www.msc.org).
