The Slipper Lobster (Thenus orientalis) is a lobster caught in the Indian ocean near Kenia. It has many different names like flathead lobster or Bay lobster and you recognize it immediately by its big antennae.
The slipper lobster usually grows up to a body of 25cm and 8cm in carapace length. It’s a pale yellowish-brown and has the granules of a darker brown. It is a typical bottom dweller that lives at depths up to 500 meters. They eat a variety of small water creatures like mollusks and crustaceans.
