Scope 1 & 2

Since 2022, we have been calculating our Scope 1 and 2 emissions. These are the areas where we can make the most immediate impact, as they are directly within our control. We take responsibility for these emissions and are committed to reducing them, with the ambition to move towards carbon-neutral operations.
Below are some of the concrete steps we have taken and will continue to take to reduce our environmental impact.

In 2025, we took a major step in reducing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by moving into our new, self-sufficient office. The building has been designed with sustainability at its core.

Key features include:

  • Heating and cooling through an electric heat pump, making the building completely gas free
  • Triple glazing for optimal insulation
  • Aluminium window frames for durability and efficiency
  • 120 solar panels with a total capacity of 53,400 Wp
  • No on-site servers; instead, we use external server capacity from a provider focused on energy-efficient data management
  • On June 4, 2025, our office was awarded the highest possible energy label by the Dutch government: A+++++ — meaning the building is energy-neutral and generates as much energy as it consumes.

Moving to an Electric Fleet
As of January 1st, 2026, Fiskano has started the transition to a fully electric company car fleet. We are making this shift step by step, in line with our standard car policy. Employees are eligible for a new company car after five years of use or upon reaching a set mileage threshold. From that moment on, the only option available is fully electric.
By integrating this into our normal replacement cycle, we ensure a gradual and consistent move towards lower emissions and more sustainable operations.
